55 on 5th Avenue would like to introduce you to ‘Fibbets’, a new fidget toy, that will be fantastic for those
overwhelming or anxiety-provoking moments for any age group.
Each of our Fibbets has its own unique and exclusive design. There will not be more than one of a
kind.
We have Fibbet, which is fit for all ages, and we have the Infant Fibbet, which can be added onto a dummy
clip, bracelet or key holder.
Fidget toys can have numerous benefits for people of all ages. Whether you’re a child, a 30-year-old
adult, or an elderly person, fidget toys can provide a simple and effective way to reduce stress,
increase focus, and alleviate boredom. With the positive proof provided by various studies, it’s clear
that fidget toys can play an important role in improving mental health and well-being.
We do believe that parents of children with ADHD, autism and other sensory overload trouble will
benefit from Fibbets.
My toddler struggles with sensory overload. Sensory overload is when your five senses — sight,
hearing, smell, touch, and taste — take in more information than your brain can process. When your
brain is overwhelmed by this input, it enters fight, flight, or freeze mode in response to what feels like a
crisis, making you feel unsafe or even panicky.
Sensory overload often results in outbursts that can easily be labelled as a tantrum. And if you react to
it in the wrong way, you will add to the chaos and the calm. I do believe that our Fibbet will help us
to self-regulate and reconnect, and to calm the storm of his overloaded system.
